Questions for Reflection

1. How do you view time in your life? How have you tried to ‘control’ time? How does the Preacher challenge your view?
2. What does 3:11 mean – why has God set eternity in our hearts so that we can’t find out what He has done from beginning to the end?
3. What does God do that endures forever (3:14)? How does God’s enduring work shape our present life under the sun, which eventually returns to dust (3:20)?
4. Read James 4:13-17. What does the author say that reminds us of Ecclesiastes 3? Why?
