Prayer Points 1 November 2020

Our Church

In-Person Services We have been meeting in our Cluster level services for 5 months. Thank God for the gradual increase in number of persons allowed to come and worship in church. Pray that every member will continue to be ministered from the Word of God each week, in service or at home.

In preparation for Phase 3, pray that everyone will adequately prepare for safety measures (e.g. TraceTogether) and for those who have yet, to prepare themselves to return for in-person services. Pray also for wisdom for the church admin and Taskforce as they plan the logistics and safety management.

Peer Support Program – Thank God for the completion of a new round of Peer Support training. May this equipping help more of our leaders and members play an active role in looking out for members and friends who might be dealing with stress, depression and anxiety. Pray that this Care Ministry of our church will be a blessing and help in time of need to many.

Zion Bishan Kindergarten Graduation (Nov 7) – Thank God for another graduation class of students. Pray for this ministry of our church to continue reaching out to our community through the work they do.
This year’s graduation will be held over livestream due to COVID-19 restrictions. Pray that they will have all the preparations necessary to see this through smoothly.

Our People

Session Retreat (31 Oct) – Thank God for a fruitful meeting yesterday. Pray for our Pastors and Elders as they continue to seek God’s guidance for the future plans of our church.

Our World

CV-19 MRF – In today’s missions focus, we thank God that Zion Bishan has been able to disburse funds to 17 ministry partners in 4 regions globally. Ministry partners in South East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia and West Asia all received some support for food package programmes and hardship support for Christian workers. Praise God for all at Zion Bishan who have given to the CV-19 MRF, it has enabled our partners to reach many needy families and individuals with God’s love. Pray that this will lead many of them to seek Him. Pray for the Christian workers working faithfully, and sometimes with great challenge in many of these regions, that they will persevere in the strength and love of our Lord in reaching out to the lost.
