Our Church
Father’s Day – On this Father’s Day, we ask that our Father in heaven grant help to the earthly fathers in our church family to love their wives in Christ, and disciple their children in the path of Jesus. May our God of hope be near to those waiting and longing to be fathers. May our God of comfort also be a constant refuge to those who hurt from the sins of their fathers.
Church Camp (20 – 23 June) – Over 450 campers, adults and children, will be going up to Malacca this coming Friday for Church Camp. Beyond the safety and health of all our campers, let’s also be praying that our time spent with Jesus listening to His words will only deepen our understanding for what it means to be a Kingdom People, and respond in faith and obedience to wherever He calls us to #GetSent for Him.
A&A Building Project – Please pray for the committee and consultants as they interview the shortlisted tenderers this week. Pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit in the interviews, to guide the team in asking right questions which would provide further clarification to their tender submissions. Pray for a clear leading of the Lord in our selection of a contractor to undertake this project.
The Gospel @ Zion Bishan – As the June sermon series continues, let’s ask that the Spirit keep shaping our hearts. May our church family be humbly repenting of any conscious and unconscious bias or favoritism in our midst. May the Spirit nurture real and lasting conviction in each member here that the Gospel really is for all regardless of demographic and status.
Our World
India – Various partners in the north and central part of India share about illness in their community due to the hot weather currently, 44 degrees Celsius in many areas. Pray for healing for those who have fallen ill. Pray for brother M, in Kolkata, who’s the Director of a partner organisation that serves needy children and teenagers with good daycare and education help in various places. He is in hospital for an acute bout of Pancreatitis but his condition turned critical when he suffered a cardiac arrest and has been tested positive for Covid as well. Please pray for the Lord to heal him fully.
