Prayer Points 9 Nov 2025

Our Church

Catechism Class Retreat – Lets keep in prayer the 20 catechumens who will be joining in the catechism class retreat this coming Saturday (15 Nov). May the Lord grant them a guarded space to receive His grace in Christ through time in the Word and fellowship with one another. Pray that this retreat will deepen their walks with Jesus and grow them in confidence to share life with the Zion Bishan family.

Ministry Behind The Money – Next week, Sunday 16th Nov, we will have a time of thinking through some of the main items in the FY26/27 budget together. Pray indeed for God’s leading as we discern how to use the money best for His ministry and for His gospel. Pray also that God will continue to supply all our financial needs for the rest of this year!

Our World

Nigeria is Africa’s most populous country, largest producer of oil, yet nearly half the population remains in poverty. Years of devastating violence, due to ethnic and religious divide as a result of inequality in the use of land and resources, have left millions displaced and tens of thousands dead.

Pray for:

  • Wisdom for the leaders to govern with integrity, justice, and compassion, to stamp out corruption, religious extremism and terrorism.
  • Peace and unity among diverse communities
  • Courage for persecuted believers to represent Christ in the face of suffering and for unity and faithfulness to biblical truth in the Church.

Lebanon – Our partner in Beirut has been overwhelmed by the dire needs of the influx of Christians, Druze, and Alawites fleeing from Syria due to the ongoing conflicts. Pray for God’s provision of manpower and resources as they provide physical, mental and spiritual help to the many who have come to their centre. Thank God for those who have come to faith in Christ and are standing firm despite severe persecution from their communities. Pray for these new believers’ faith & witness to grow even in such challenging circumstances.
