Prayer Points 4 Jan 2026

Our Church

New Hokkien Congregation Ministry Staff (Part-Time) – We thank God for His leading that from 2 January 2026, Preacher Choo Han Boo (朱汉武) will be joining the Hokkien Congregation ministry team on a part-time basis. He currently serves at Reformed Bible–Presbyterian Church, and is also actively involved in prison ministry and outreach to former drug addicts. He will serve alongside Pastor Paul in preaching and pastoral care of the Hokkien congregation to build God’s flock. Let us pray for Preacher Choo in this season, and for a unity of heart and wisdom so that the Hokkien congregation may continue to grow steadily in the Lord.

Soccer Ministry – Thank God for 17 years of a door for the gospel through our Soccer Ministry! Praise God for the faithful service of the team of volunteers led by brother Ashish Peter as head coach. More than just being able to play soccer together, pray that the seeds sown – friendships built through gospel events (e.g. Christmas, outings and monthly devotions) will take root and bear fruit in His time. Pray also for brother Ethan Tiew as he steps up to serve as head coach this year.

Our Denomination

BPCIS Partnerships – We thank God that our mother church, Zion Serangoon BPC, has officially started a partnership with Grace BPC, as of 1 Jan 2026. One of their pastors has been seconded to minister there part-time, while others will be involved in preaching and training new leaders. This is the 3rd official partnership amongst BPCIS churches, in line with our denomination’s overall direction to “Strengthen the Churches”.

Our World

Indonesia – Pray for the prison ministry of an Indonesian gospel partner who had a meaningful Christmas celebration at one of the city’s main prisons. Praise God for a former female ex-prisoner who came to know the Lord and was discipled in this prison ministry – she now serves alongside them as a testimony of God’s grace. This prison ministry has extended to 3 prisons and 1 jail. The church has also opened a halfway house for ex-prisoners. Some have already come to faith from the majority faith through this ministry, and we pray for more to come to know Christ. May they experience God’s strength and power to rebuild their lives outside of prison, and bear gospel fruit for the Lord.
