Prayer Points 9 May 2021

Our Church

Phase 3 Heightened Alert – Pray for the activities in church, especially our Congregational Services, that have to make adjustments or alternative arrangements during this time to keep one another safe. As a church, do encourage and uphold one another in prayer.

Our People

Teo Shu-Anne – will be interning with us for the next 2 months. Pray and thank God for how He has led her heart towards missionary work (see p7). Pray for her as she assists our Missions Team for the upcoming Missions Month in July.

Mother’s Day – “Our primary calling as Christian mothers is to be Christ’s ambassadors to our children, speaking His truth, and reflecting His heart to them. Christ has given us a divine calling as ministers of reconciliation. All our other responsibilities pale in comparison to this one great charge.” – Sally Michael, Truth78, Mothers: Disciplers of the Next Generations.
Thank God for mothers! Pray that, in the midst of their busyness, they will seek God first. Pray that the church will walk alongside them in their calling to nurture the faith of the next generation.

Our World

National Healthcare System – Tan Tock Seng Hospital, but also all hospitals and parts of our national system. Many who work there, and their family members, have been instructed to confine themselves for up to 21 days. Pray for the safety of frontline and medical workers. Pray for the patients, especially the elderly, who have to be quarantined in the hospital. Remember by name those you know who are affected.

India – Pray for the severe pandemic situation and ministry partners affected by COVID and other illnesses:
Pray for Sister S, wife of Principal CP. She has pre-existing conditions that led to severe symptoms this past week. She recently recovered from fever but is still critical and much care is needed. Pray for full recovery for her and other family members who also have COVID.
Worker R’s family (father, mother, two boys and grandmother) have tested positive for COVID. Pray for calm and trust in the Lord
Pray for healing for 5 workers, with Partner H, who are being treated at home for COVID.
Pray for worker TD’s healing from eye troubles as well as daughter’s healing from fever.

South India – In spite of all that has happened, we thank God for Partner P’s report that 17 people have turned to the Lord. Pray for these new believers to continue growing in their faith, that they may be protected and stand firm when they face persecution. Pray for the ministry there to follow-up with them.
