Prayer Points 1 January 2023

Our Church

Youth Missions Exposure Trip (Thailand) – Thank God that the 18 member ZB team has returned safely from their 10 day missions exposure trip to Thailand. They supported Youth with a Mission (YWAM) Christmas Outreaches in a small city in East Thailand and also a village in its outskirts. Praise God for good times of bringing Christmas cheer to various hospitals, schools, churches and a village gathering. They prepared gifts, sang songs. May the seed of the gospel grow and bear fruit in new life transformation. May all that the team has experienced inspire them to be learning more about God’s work globally and how they can be involved in it.

Chinese Services Youth Camp – Thank God for 28 campers at the annual ZB Chinese Services Youth Camp last week. Ps Dev was the speaker and gave 2 messages on 1 John 1 – growing in fellowship with God. Pray that these messages will grow the unity and love of the ZB Chinese Services youth community.

Our World

India – Pray for the many who are suffering for their faith (loss of jobs, loss of homes etc) during this season Pray that they may be comforted and protected by our Father in heaven. One partner in the northeast has requested prayers for their planning meeting with their volunteer workers, may they make good plans for the glory of God. Since it is winter in India, one partner has prayed for the provision of blankets for almost 100 elderly persons (45 male and 50 female).

Indonesia – Thank God for the ministry to both those in the majority faith as well as those who adhere to tribal beliefs. Praise God that one partner was able to conduct Christmas services in 7 different locations amongst these tribal groups despite the far distance they had to travel and rainy weather. Of the 1600 who heard the gospel, about 40% were non-believers. Pray that believers will be strengthened in their faith and non-believers will come to know Jesus as their saviour. This partner also reflected on how those new to the faith this year had the special joy of celebrating Christmas last week for the first time. Pray that their faith may remain firm in the midst of many challenges.
