Our Church
COVID-19 – As the country moves towards an endemic circulating virus, the leadership is acutely aware that this means all of us are much more likely to get infected. As such we want to make every effort to keep up our safety management protocols, scaling up in a slow and timely manner, but more so, we want to strongly encourage ALL our members to get vaccinated as soon as possible so that we can continue to meet in person safely. May we always put the wellbeing of others at the forefront of our ministry.
Christianity Explored – Continue to pray for CE happening every Wednesday evening. Pray for the participants to have open ears and hearts as they continue to learn about Jesus.
Our People
Queenie – We thank God for His grace and healing over Queenie. Given the severity and complexity of the multiple surgeries, it is nothing short of a miracle that Queenie was discharged last Sunday afternoon. Queenie and family would like to thank the church for rallying in prayer for her. Let us continue to pray for her continued recuperation and recovery.
Our World
India – Some churches are beginning to meet in person, pray for peace and protection for believers as they often face opposition in some areas. Pray especially for the various programmes planned for children and equipping of workers for the harvest field. May the Lord open doors in hard places and stir the hearts of many to the good news of Jesus. One partner has specially requested prayers for life partners for first generation believers.
Indonesia – More people are getting sick in a remote village where one worker is based. He reports that the villagers neither believe in COVID nor do they want to seek treatment in hospital for fear of isolation. We thank God that the field worker is still wanting to serve these villagers and to be a blessing to them. Pray that they will be protected from COVID as they serve and for the villagers to get well. Pray too for the wife of this field worker, who is suffering from post-natal depression. She lost her baby days after giving birth last year. May our Lord give special comfort to her.
Myanmar – The political turmoil has spread from the border areas to central areas of Myanmar. Villagers are fleeing to remote areas and forests for safety, while many people remaining in the city are not safe. Pray for the political situation to stabilise and also for these Internally Displaced People (IDP) escaping the conflict to find safe refuge. The third wave of COVID has caused strain on the medical supplies and workers. Pray for our partner and his congregation to be comforted as they have lost family friends, and fellow pastors recently. Pray for them as they continue to gather for regular church worship via Zoom.
