Prayer Points 1 Oct 2023
Pastor Kew has relinquished his duties as Pastor of Zion Bishan on 30 Sep after 23 years. He has been in ministry the last 44 years. He will spend some time to rest and reequip and will thence embark on itinerant ministry. He and his wife remain members of our church. Do keep Pastor Kew in prayer for a time of refreshing that he may continue to serve where God leads in the next season of his life, faith and ministry.
Doris Tan who attends 10.30am service has been hospitalised for more than a week for viral infection in her brain and has not been very responsive. She is still undergoing anti-viral treatment. Please pray that she will respond well to the medication and for speedy recovery.
Nepal Team – We thank God for the 3 teams led by Joey Tay who are visiting consecutively between 22 Sep and 18 Oct to encourage the children and youths in our partner’s West Nepal centres to dig deeper into knowing and understanding God. Thank God for sustaining the team through the long days this past week and for the completion of the Youth Camp in which many of the senior boys and girls opened up during discussion. Pray for Joey and Yvonne (YFC) for good health and safe travels as they move on to a new locality this week to minister to Senior Girls that they would have a spiritually fruitful time together.
India – Oct and Nov is the season for many of our partners here to hold their annual programme. One partner in the Hindi Belt region is having a workers meeting in Nov. Another one is having a children camp in Oct and youth camp in Nov. Pray that these programmes will encourage and strengthen the faith of every participant.
Morocco and Libya Relief – Since the 8 Sep Morocco earthquake and the 10 Apr storm Daniel that devastated vast areas in Morocco and Libya, relief efforts are ongoing by both local and international agencies. Pray that the relief efforts will be well coordinated and implemented to prevent further loss of life due to disease from contaminated water and lack of essential supplies.
