Prayer Points 7 July 2024

Our Church

ZB Leaders Retreat – Thank God for yesterday’s day retreat where our pastors, elected leaders and ministry staff got together to discuss, pray and reflect over our church vision and congregations. Pray also for continued wisdom from the Lord as our leaders partner together to shepherd Zion Bishan into the next 30 years under Jesus.

Missions Month 2024 – We embark on a new series in July to help us #getreal about missions. Pray for the speakers as they share about the Cost and Challenges, but also the Pursuit and Privilege we have as we partner with God in His Mission. Pray for our hearts to be encouraged through His Word and by His Spirit, even as we learn more what our fears and motivations may be when we seek to be on Mission for Him.

Our People

Ministry Apprentices – Praise God for our five new apprentices who joined us earlier this week – Deborah Loone, Dn Joh.n Chua, Teo Huiqing, Er.nest Kay and Ni.cole Yeo. Uphold them in prayer as they begin their journey in exploring full-time Gospel ministry this week, pray for their transition and for their growth in godliness and clarity for the path ahead. They have also asked for prayer for their joy in Jesus, and that their ministries will spring from a well of enjoyment of their union with Christ.

Our Denomination

Emmanuel BPC – We thank God for EBPC celebrating their 47th anniversary yesterday! It has been a long and sometimes difficult journey, but we are so thankful that they continue to hold fast to the gospel amidst the trials. We pray that more will come over to visit and to help!

Our World

Doulos Hope – Operation Mobilisation’s (OM’s) ship is returning to SG from 9 – 29 July. Thank God that they were able to visit many countries in Asia such as Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and Hong Kong. Pray for God to continue growing His work in the least reached communities there. Pray also for their time here will be fruitful and be a blessing the local Church here.

West Asia Vision Trip – Thank God for a good trip from 20 – 30 June, led by Christy from our church. They were humbled by the heroes of faith that they met who have been persevering in hard places and bearing fruit through their costly discipleship. The team of 16 people from 9 different churches will be doing a post-trip sharing on 28 July Sun 2 – 2.30pm. Pray for more prayer and labourers to be raised for this troubled region and lasting partnerships to be birthed out of this trip experience and post-trip sharing.
