Prayer Points 1 June 2025

Our Church

Explore Internship – Our 2 Explore interns, Brennan Ting and Ashley Tan, will be extending their internship for another 4 weeks with us. We thank God for how He has been growing them to maturity and pray that the rest of the internship will continue growing their love for Jesus and his gospel.

Elected Leaders – We thank God for our newly elected elder, deacons and deaconess. They were all voted in at the ACM last Sunday with more than 95% of the votes. As they are installed today, we ask that members continue to pray for them and support them as they shoulder the heavy responsibilities of spiritual leadership. Pray also for the many who were re-elected. May God bless the work of their hands!

Youth Discipleship Leaders – Thank God for a time of fellowship around the Word of Christ last week for our YD leaders, where they met for a monthly time of equipping and mutual support. Even as we hear this Sunday about the heart-work in discipling the youth as a church family, let us keep in prayer the YD leaders who persevere in declaring and modeling Jesus to our youths, weekly in small groups. May they also continue to be nourished by our Lord first as they proclaim Him.

Basic AG Leaders Equipping – 6 participants are spending the next 1.5 months together exploring from the Word what it means to care for the flock of God as undershepherds. May the Holy Spirit enlarge their view of and joy in Jesus on this journey of caring for their AG members.

Our Denomination

Emmanuel BP – We thank God for the smooth ACM last Sunday, where our brother, George Khoo, was elected to serve as a ruling Elder, alongside Pastor David Leong, in the EBPC Session! We pray that the Lord will lead him to shepherd the flock there with all faithfulness. Please continue to pray for all our sister churches!

Our World

India – Pray for the work of reaching the unreached in North India by a partner who is a faith based NGO serving the education and livelihood needs here. Pray for the young adult students who are part of a 10-month residential training programme that grows their vocational skills, and spiritual life. These students ran Children’s summer camps in 19 different locations this past week. Pray for good follow up in these locations and those who attended would be drawn to Jesus from these camps.
