Prayer Points 7 Sep 2025

Our Church

Teachers’ Day – Thank You, Lord for all our teachers and the dedication, patience, and love they show. May the Lord bless them with wisdom and understanding as they guide and teach their students. May God grant them the strength when they are tired, the joy in their calling, and the fulfillments in the work they do. May their words and actions continue to make a lasting impact on the lives they touch.

Our People

Pastor David Leong — Please pray for Ps David Leong as he begins a month-long treatment for prostate cancer this week. May God sustain him and draw him even closer to Jesus.

Dorene Ng — We thank God for good recovery progress that Dorene was able to be discharged this past week. Do continue to pray for full recovery and for God’s added grace and strength as she copes with the after effect of the accident.

Our World

Gaza Humanitarian Crisis – On 22 Aug, WHO (World Health Organisation) said more than 1/2 million people in Gaza are trapped in famine, marked by widespread starvation, destitution and preventable deaths. Pray for peace and an end to this man-made crisis that is worsening by the day. May our Lord have mercy on the suffering people on the ground. May God enable much needed food aid to reach starving families and for lasting peace to come to these nations.

Indonesia – Our southern neighbour has been rocked by riots since 25 Aug when demonstrators protested on a rise in their Minister of Parliament’s take home pay and other internal issues. Amidst the protests and crackdowns, pray for wisdom and peace to prevail amongst the government leaders and its people. Pray for the church in Indonesia to shine as a light of hope and love during this difficult time. And may the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard all believers’ hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
