Our Church
Seniors360 – Thank God for the many volunteers who serve sacrificially in visiting and following up with the various needs of seniors. Pray that their labour of love will bear fruit in His time. More than participating, pray for more seniors and “younger seniors” to step forward to serve in the roles of befriending and discipling. Pray for God’s wisdom to be upon the committee as they set out the objectives of the ministry and trust in His provision and leading.
Our World
India – Since 2022, the state of B.ihar has imposed an alcohol ban to curb addiction, domestic violence, and financial ruin among its poorest families (BBC news, 19 Nov). Pray for our partner in the state of B.ihar who has adopted a group called the Ma.had.alit people. Our partner, Brother T, shares a prayer point for this people group to stop making alcohol. Pray for them to come to know Jesus and His transformative power in their lives.
Lebanon, Jordan, Greece – This Dec, E&N are on a vision trip to visit small local churches, connect with gospel partners, and discern long-term ministry opportunities. Pray for open doors and discernment to learn how best they can support the church’s discipleship and witness in these regions. Uphold local believers serving faithfully amidst ongoing tensions there, that Christ’s peace will sustain their hearts and strengthen their ministry. Pray for protection in travel and mutually encouraging fellowship with workers in the region.
Hong Kong – Pray for the communities and authorities of Hong Kong as they grapple with the aftermath of the fire tragedy at Wang Fuk Court, in Hong Kong on 26 Nov at about 2.50pm. The death toll as of last Thursday stands at 159. Many families are mourning the loss of loved ones and having to find alternative housing. May the God of all comfort be their peace and strength for the coming days of recovery from this trauma.
