Our Church
Terusan Guest Workers Outreach – Thank God for brothers who have been serving faithfully with us. Pray for the workers to continue experiencing God’s love through the ministry, find strength in their daily labour, and be encouraged by the fellowship and care extended to them. Also pray that the Lord will raise up more willing volunteers, especially those gifted to play the piano, so that worship may be enriched and hearts be lifted in praise.
Our People
Ps Chris Rajendran – We thank God for how He has opened doors and for the current plans made for housing and schools for Ps Chris’ family, his wife Rose and their two boys. Pray for him and his family as they prepare for their move to Singapore in early May, for smooth transitions and adjustments to life here.
Our Denomination
Emmanuel BP – Pray for our sister church Emmanuel who are starting a 7 week sermon and bible study series on the basics of the Christian faith next Sunday. We thank God for the growth of two cell groups and are praying for more leaders to be raised from within.
Our World
Mongolia – Thank God for a short trip by Ps Paul and his wife to Mongolia this past week. They had a good time of learning about the ministry to rural pastors as they met with a Pastor contact working among them. May God use this experience to help us understand the churches doing gospel work outside of the capital city, Ulaanbaatar. May He also grant us wisdom to support the growth of vibrant communities that grow Jesus-followers and disciple-makers in this country.
Lebanon – Talks occurred this past week between Israeli and Lebanese envoys in Washington, to attempt to begin negotiations for a framework for a peace process
(The Straits Times, 14 Apr). Pray that Lord-willing this would lead to a cessation of hostilities between these 2 countries. Let us also uphold also our ministry partners/friends for resources to serve the critical needs of the internally displaced citizens from south Lebanon that have been flooding Beirut. May this tragic time be used by the Lord to draw many to His Son.
