Our Church
A&A Building Project – We have just completed the material testing of existing structure and our consultants will be preparing their submission to BCA. The process for obtaining the approval to proceed with the steel structural works on Level 5 is likely to take some time. As such, decision was made to remove current scaffold until Notice of Approval from BCA is obtained. Based on cost analysis, this would be most cost effective than to pay for extension of the use of scaffold. Moreover, it would also restore the use of playground to ZBK children in the interim. Please continue to keep the project in prayer, for God’s clear direction and wisdom upon our consultants in addressing the authorities’ requirement.
Christianity Explored (CE) – Praise God for 7 seekers and friends who joined us for the first week of the course this past Wednesday evening. Pray that each of their hearts will be turned to the Lord, and there will be a continued desire to return each week to learn and discover Jesus through the Gospel of Mark. Pray for God’s guidance and directing through His Spirit to be upon our table hosts and members as they journey alongside in the next 6 weeks.
Our People
Quek Tze Ming – We thank God that BPCIS has officially formed an ordaining council for our brother Dr Quek, to discern his calling in becoming a Minister of the Gospel. Please pray for him in this journey!
Our Denomination
Shalom BP – We thank God that our sister church ordained a new minister of the gospel yesterday! Please do pray for Rev Low Jun Yew and his young family, as he comes alongside their current Pastor, Ben Tsao, in ministering to our brothers and sisters in Pasir Ris.
Our World
Nepal – Thank the Lord for placing the Tibetan Buddhists on our hearts and giving us a desire to reach them with the Gospel. Thank Him also for the faith and obedience of our members to join Him in what He is doing in that region. Keep in prayer for the 4 tracks being carried out in the next 2 months, that the Gospel work may grow and our brothers and sisters there will be strengthened in their faith and love for Jesus. Pray also for more labourers to be raised and sent out into His harvest.
Indonesia – Pray for Brother SL’s visit to Singapore next weekend for a training conference here. May this be a time of good learning and refreshment for this brother who is ministering faithfully in a hard place for many years. Pray also that there will be good attendance for a ministry sharing that he will be doing at Zion Bishan, next Sunday, (4 Oct), at lunchtime after the 10.30am service.
