Prayer Points 12 July 2026

Our Church

Missions Month – This year’s theme is “Your Servant is Listening”. As we hear each week’s sermon, may our hearts be open and our ears listening to what God is saying. May our heavenly Father speaks through the sermons and our daily times with Him. May we also respond with action and perseverance in the work He has called us to. Pray that we will have good participation at our in-person Friday missions prayer nights this month, as different individuals share each week.  (See today’s WIS or bulletin channel for more info).

Children’s Discipleship – Our children will be starting a new series of lessons on the Sermon on the Mount, for the rest of this year. Please pray for the hearts of the children and teachers as we grow in living as God’s kingdom people, built on the assurance that we belong to the Kingdom because of Jesus alone!

Our People

Apprentices

  • Outgoing: Thank God for our 4 outgoing apprentices: Jenwei who completed a year and returns to work as a medical doctor (see 28 June Word in Season); E&N who completed two years and begin theological college (see 21 June WIS); Deborah Wong who is transitioning to a part-time Children’s Ministry Staff role here. May our Father continue to guide and grow them in Him in all these new seasons!
  • Incoming: Praise God for 2 of our new ministry apprentices who began their journey with us this month – Tan Ying Qian and John Wong! As they transition into a season of exploring full-time paid gospel ministry, let us prayerfully support them as a church family. May the Holy Spirit grow them most of all in character and godliness, even as they grow in knowledge of the Son and in the ministry of His word and of prayer.

Our Denomination

Emmanuel BP – The church celebrated 49 years on Saturday! We thank God for the recent developments but are praying earnestly for more young families with children to join us so that we can continue growing and begin reaching out in a more substantial way.

Our World

Indonesia – Thank God for a fruitful visit last week when SQ and 6 others from ZB went to meet and encourage a group of missiology school alumni and their families. They spent time together, sharing a meal, and also hearing and seeing their ministry contexts, like a food processing factory, a soccer school, a medical concierge and mobility support ministry and clean water filter provision for community spaces. Pray for the adequate provision of their monthly support needs as it can be challenging to raise enough. They are currently discipling many from communities that have few Jesus followers, may these be discipled well and go on to make other disciples.
