Advisory 28 Mar 2020
Dear Zion Bishan Members, as many of you know by now, the Government on the 24th of March released a new set of tighter COVID measures that has major implications for us and all churches across our nation. As such, please read this advisory carefully as it contains many changes compared to previous weeks, and will most likely be the guidelines we will follow as a church family for the foreseeable future.
🚫👥Firstly, in accordance with the new measures, all physical Sunday Services are now suspended until the end of April. Livestreaming will continue on Sunday Mornings in the following new format: 8:30-9:30am: Combined Chinese Service (In Mandarin with Cantonese translation)
10:30-11:30am: Combined English Service (for all 3 English Congregations: 8:30am, 10:30am & 5pm)

💻👥📖 Secondly, to support the national effort, we now encourage all members to stay home and view the livestream in family units, and to not gather in large groups. We especially advise the elderly to remain at home. We want to make sure we follow the spirit of the new measures and not just the technical requirements. This all means that more than ever, our small groups are a crucial part of how we love and support one another as we physically distance ourselves in the coming months. We highly encourage you to use virtual means such as the Zoom platform to maintain and even grow our relationships with one another during this season – a separate guide on how to use Zoom for your AG meetings is attached as an Annex. If you are still not currently in an AG, now is the time to join one! (Contact Dn Danny @ 92394160 if you need help with this).
For those who still feel the need to physically meet in very small groups, please do so but strictly with all the necessary precautions. For those who can’t or prefer not to, let us endeavour to continue to reach out and accept one another in love. If you are alone and need encouragement in this time, please do let us know!
Please also note that there will be no youth meetings in or outside of church – any YF or YD programs will only be held online via Zoom. All CD classes are also cancelled.
🙏🏼👥 Thirdly, it is helpful for us to be very aware that many in our community will be feeling lonely and isolated in this season. Let us do everything we can to look out for one another, and show the love of Christ to those who are seeking it, both within our church family and to outsiders!
🙏🏼🙌🏽 Finally, as always, let us not cease to seek and cry out to our Heavenly Father. Let’s pray that He will use all this fear and death ultimately for good, and that we will as followers of Jesus be Light in this time of Darkness. May many turn to our Lord Jesus in the weeks and months to come!
