Prayer Points 30 October 2022

Our People

Pastor Ng Zhiwen – Pray for grace upon me that I may grow in faithful service alongside my fellow brothers and sisters – all maturing together for His glory.

Pastor Paul Yeo – Pray for me to be a blessing to others as a pastor in the Chinese Services and steadfastly be faithful in serving God. Pray that His Family continues to grow together as disciples of Christ.

Pastor David Leong – Pray that God will give me wisdom and strength in being a faithful minister of the Gospel at Emmanuel BP Church. Pray as well that my family may support me in prayer and encouragement.

Ebenezzer Quek Peng Xi 郭平希, son of Ps Vernon Quek & Ruth, brother to Alyssa & Thaddeus, grandson of the late Elder Quek Swee Peng & Mrs Melinda Quek and Pastor Peter & Soh Hiang Jamir, was born on 28 October 2022. God called Ebenezzer home after a brief but precious time with his beloved family. Do pray for Pastor Vernon and family as they look to God for strength and comfort. Above all, pray for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, [to guard their] hearts and… minds in Christ Jesus, in whom they find grace and hope.

Our Church

Domestic Helpers Fellowship (DHF) – We thank God for the helpers who have become believers and enjoy studying the Bible together. They take turns facilitating the studies each week, and share with one another how they plan to apply the lessons learnt and whom they intend to share with. Those who sang at ZB’s anniversary service were chosen because they have decided to follow Jesus. Pray however, for the absentees who have stopped attending, and that many more new helpers will join us, and that they will keep growing in their knowledge of God and love for Him.

Our World

Indonesia – Pray for one partner who is not only reaching the blind, but in recent years also started a ministry to the deaf and mute through cooking training.   Praise God that a few of them in this community have started to read God’s word together. May they discover the joy of knowing the truth together. May this endeavor also inspire more to be thinking and praying for the deaf and mute.

Nepal – Pray for the ongoing construction of an orphanage in northwest of Nepal (which our recent Nepal team 1 visited). Once completed, the new orphanage will be able to double its capacity (to 40-45 children) to meet the growing needs of the community and serve as an outreach centre. May the Lord continue to provide for its needs and raise up workers to reach out to the least reached people here in West Nepal. The same partner also held a 2-day youth seminar recently in 2 other locations. Pray that the Word planted will draw these youths closer to the Lord.
