Prayer Points 4 December 2022

Our Church

Zion Bishan Kindergarten – We praise God for the approval received from Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) for the change of class licence to Childcare Centre with effect from 1 January 2023. Please pray for a speedy approval from SCDF for use of additional areas for the new Childcare which will enable us to increase the number of student enrolment so that those on waitlist may also be able to start the new term with us. Uphold in prayer for Mrs Serene Chang, the principal and all staff as they prepare for this major transition and for a smooth completion of the ongoing renovation work.

Our People

Wong Ping Seng – Our brotherwas diagnosed with a 4cm benign tumour between his ear and brain. As the tumour is pressing on sensory nerves, it may cause serious complication and even be life threatening if not removed. The 10-12 hour long surgery has been scheduled for 15 December 2022. Do pray for Ping Seng and family, to experience God’s grace and peace as he prepares for this major surgery. Pray also for a blessed family holiday this week as they spend time together, drawing closer to the Lord and to each other.

Our World

Indonesia – Praise God for the gift of 6 used laptops from our church for our mission partner in Indonesia. We thank God that all 6 have reached them through the recent Indonesia team and also to them directly when they passed through Singapore briefly. These would be used in the partner’s children home and also ministry to the blind community. Praise God that these laptops will enable the small community of children, youth, and the blind community to gain valuable knowledge and skills for their education and growth.

India – One of our partners (Ps J) has been in Singapore and visiting ZB this week. We thank God for a good time of fellowship as we share and encourage one another to strive towards “the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil 3:14). In a recent report, Ps J shared about how the brothers often face challenging work as not all are welcoming. Hence, do pray for protection for all the ministry brethren serving in the field from Ps J’s group.  Thank God also for some open doors and the people who have heard the gospel. Pray that those who have heard and received the bible tracts will read and find the Lord.
