Prayer Points 18 December 2022

Our Church

Reception of Members – Praise God that He’s still working in the hearts and lives of individuals, drawing them close to Christ. Let’s take the effort to get to know these new members, to serve them and pray for them – as we know the journey of faith is a long and hard one. Let’s also keep praying that the Lord will move our hearts to witness to our unbelieving family members and friends, so that they too may one day
be baptised!

Youth Mission Trip (19-28 Dec) – A team of 18 youth and young adults are thankful for the opportunity and privilege to be involved in the work of bringing the good news of Christmas to the locals in several villages in Thailand from 19-28 Dec. Pray for the team to see God’s heart for the lost as they participate in His Mission. Pray for courage and compassion as they share about God’s love through testimonies, songs, sports & games. Pray for good health and protection for all in the team, and for the ongoing efforts of the local team that God through His Spirit will continue to work in the hearts of the people there.

Children’s Ministry – We thank God for seeing the children and teachers through Genesis 1-24 the past year, learning about sin and broken relationships, and God’s faithfulness. Pray that the children continue to understand these truths and learn to love God more with their lives. Do pray for the teachers to grow in their relationships with God as they seek to teach the children the Bible well. Pray also for June Tan, Ruth Quek and Cassandra Lee as they train and equip the current teachers, while encouraging greater partnership between parents and the church in the discipleship of the children. We pray for more members to join us to be equipped and trained as teachers and members of the church family invested in the discipleship of the next generations. We are also praying hard for the Lord to provide new children & family ministry staff.

Our World

Ipoh – Thank God for a good trip up to Ipoh for Ps Ebi, his wife Priya and 6 others from ZB. It was a good time for Ps Ebi and Priya to reconnect with the Tamil Fellowship brethren and also for a Christmas celebration and outreach on 2 Dec 2022. Thank God for 40 or so people who attended the programme and also for the dinner fellowship. Pray that there will be wisdom for the follow up of those who heard the gospel. Thank God also for the partnership with Pastor Zadok and other members from St Andrews Community Church, Ipoh in ministering to the Tamil Fellowship brethren.
