Prayer Points 27 July 2025
Our Church
English as Second Language (ESL) – We thank God for the faithful service of our volunteer teachers, persevering in showing the love of Christ through their teaching and interactions with the students. Praise God for the 16 new sign-ups this semester. Pray that these ladies will adjust and integrate well with the class, and for our teachers to get to know them better and be sensitive to their spiritual needs. Pray for many more to be drawn in and shepherded to hear the voice of Jesus and follow Him as their Good Shepherd.
Gospel Laborers – Let us pray that the love and good news of Christ continue to grip and affect many hearts, for that is both the natural and only way any Christians will #getsent by the Lord of the harvest both here and out into the nations. May the Spirit move many to begin with baby steps – whether in ministering to another Christian, patiently witnessing in their workplaces/homes, and perhaps even having starter conversations on paid full-time gospel work (find out more e.g. through “Look into Full Time” or “Antioch Summit” on the Announcements Page).
Our People
June Tan – We praise God for our sister, Aunty June (as fondly known among the children) and the 14 years she has served as ministry staff with our children’s discipleship team! Let’s pray for her to have a period of refreshing rest and as she discerns the Lord’s leading for a new season of life and service to Him.
Our World
Myanmar – Thank God for a former ministry partner who recently delivered relief packages to 200 Shan households in the Inlay region. The severe earthquake that struck in March damaged many of these homes that were built over water. As a church, we’re thankful to have contributed a small love gift to support this effort. A short gospel message was also shared as part of the relief efforts. Our partner reports that many listened with interest! May the Spirit grow the seeds of the gospel sown in these hearts.
Indonesia – Ministry to the hearing impaired is an established ministry of our partner on an Indonesian Island. Praise God that this ministry has steadily grown and moved into areas where the gospel has not been heard. While there are also efforts to promote the majority faith in these communities, many from the majority faith have thankfully shown interest in some of our ministry partner’s small groups. They are praying for more workers in this ministry and also for more to receive the gospel and take it further into that community.
