Prayer Points 17 Aug 2025
Our Church
Heartlands Ministry – Thank God for the opportunity to be helping others explore God and Jesus for themselves through a short passage or story in the Bible each week. We’re thankful also for the friendships that have grown since this initiative began in March, and for the few who have been coming regularly. Pray for the faith of our volunteers to continue growing as we love each person who comes by pointing them to Jesus, His life-giving word and work.
MCEL Trip – Pray for Pastor Paul and team as they travel on 16 – 17 Aug to minister to the MCEL churches in Hubong, Rompin, and Endau. May God grant them safe and smooth journeys, and pray that the Holy Spirit will use the team to encourage the believers in these churches. Pray also for their leaders to have Christ’s love and wisdom to maintain unity and fellowship with each other.
India – From 18-24 August, a team of 2 men and 2 women will be visiting leaders from a group of churches. Pray for good health and safe journey and for a blessed time of encouraging the brethren there. Pray that these leaders will be equipped to disciple their flock who can then go on to disciple others.
Our People
Sister Dorene Ng was hit by an e-bike rider a week ago and hospitalised as her face and eyes were badly bruised and swollen. (The incident was reported in ST: https://bit.ly/3UUKkzU) We thank God that she sustained no fractures nor serious injury to the brain that required surgery. She is still under observation. Please pray for:
- bleeding in the brain to clear and giddiness to subside
- a suitable rehab centre to stay until she is ready to be discharged
- her son, Jonathan as he balances
between work and care for Dorene - complete healing and restoration.
Thank God that Dorene is in good spirit and she conveys her thanks to the church for their love & concerns through visits & prayers.
Our World
Indonesia – One of our mission agency partners have requested prayers for Lolo.an Me.layu, a minority group who numbers 30,000 in Bali. Pray that God may soften the hearts of the Lolo.an so that they may understand His love for them. Pray for more workers to be willing to go serve and help this community as many of them are economically disadvantaged and work as fishermen.
