Our Church

A&A Building Project – The main purpose of the project is to maximise the use of allowable space for Gospel work through our various ministries to draw more people to know Christ, as such it will constantly come under spiritual attacks of the evil one. We need therefore to undergird the whole project in prayer regularly and ask God for His protection and guidance. Please pray:

  • For favourable response to various authority submissions
  • Safety of all the workers and users on site
  • Wisdom and efficiency for our contractor in handling various repairs and building works
  • Health and well being of our consultants, esp for our Acoustic Consultant who has been chronically ill for several months. Please ask God for healing and restoration.
  • Salvation of all personnel involved in this project.

Advent – As we enter the Advent Season, let us learn to wait and long for the Savior once again. May the Lord also move our hearts for unbelieving loved ones who do not share this hope in Christ – may this be a season to reconnect and witness to them. Pray that the Spirit will speak through our messages in the next few weeks, and to visitors coming to hear of our Christmas hope.

CD Teachers’ Retreat – Thank God for our Children’s Discipleship teachers from all three English congregations, who gathered yesterday for a retreat. Pray that their time spent in Romans 5-8 would encourage them and prepare them for another year of teaching Romans to our children. May the Lord keep building up the teachers’ & children’s confidence in the Gospel as God’s power to save and bring all to unashamed, joyful obedience to King Jesus!

Enabling Ministry – Thank God that as a church family, He has placed persons with disabilities on our hearts. Thank God for their testimonies and for their invaluable lessons that He also teaches us through them. May we be continually reminded that it was God who first welcomed us in Christ, and therefore how we are also to welcome others.

Our World

Floods in SE Asia – (CNA, Straits Times, 25 Nov) Tens of thousands of people across Southeast Asia are dealing with record-breaking rain in recent weeks. Thailand reported more than a dozen dead with our MFA advising Singaporeans to avoid travelling to parts of Southern Thailand. In Malaysia, authorities are also scrambling to find temporary housing for more than 18,000 people affected by the floods. In Vietnam, nearly 100 people have died due to the most severe flooding in decades. Pray for God’s mercy and may all flood victims get relief soon.
