Prayer Points 10 May 2026
Our Church
Marriage Course – As the course is ongoing, pray that God will work in the hearts of the couples, helping them to keep Christ at the centre of their marriage and family; that the couples will be open to sharing with one another, and have the willingness to address and resolve issues in their marriage. Pray also for the volunteers to help with child-minding, and for a committed group who can consistently support the ministry.
Mother’s Day – We thank God for the mothers, grandmothers and spiritual mothers in our church family, who live unashamed of the gospel, and are models of everyday faithfulness to Christ. We pray that they will cling onto gospel hope and persevere in presenting their bodies daily as a living sacrifice, in spiritual worship, despite the weariness and frustration that ministering to their families can often bring. And may they find freedom and joy in living radically for Christ, and find help through Your spirit to keep fighting sin that clings, as well as the pressures of worldly conformation.
We pray too for those who might be longing and grieving on this day. May the God of all comfort bring them comfort with the certain hope of Jesus’ coming, and remind them of His deep, deep love that nothing could ever separate them from.
Our People
Evan & Su En – E & S are in Greece with Interserve’s refugee ministry for a month till the end of May. Pray that they will have safety, good health and wise heart for interacting and supporting the refugees at this camp. Pray also for harmonious relationships with the international team there and meaningful time of learning and growing in understanding God’s heart for refugees.
Our Denomination
We thank God that Emmanuel BPC is slowly growing and the members are coming together for regular church retreats. We pray for more gospel partners to come alongside those already labouring.
Our World
Indonesia – Our ministry partner in Indonesia shared how their team was learning how God has prepared the hearts of people in the harvest. Our work, as God’s people is then to find that person whose heart is prepared. One team member reported how someone asked him for a smoke, which led to them talking about Jesus. Surprisingly that person shared how he “met” Jesus in prison, and how Jesus spoke to him. That led to him seeking the truth once he came out. That conversation with the team member ended with the man accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Pray for their teams to find more persons whose hearts God has prepared.
