Prayer Points 7 Jun 2026

Our Church

New Leaders – We thank God for the overwhelming support for our new leaders at last Sunday’s ACM. All were elected with over 95% of the vote (from more than 700 members). Please pray that as these 2 pastors, 3 elders, 3 deacons and 1 deaconess get installed to begin their formal role, that they will keep close to the Lord so that they can minister effectively out of His love for them. Pray for many more to come in to minister to the current flock, and for many others to be sent out to minister to all our fellow BP churches that have great need.

Church Camp – Pray for the safety of around 500 of us at the English services who will be travelling up to Desaru for this year’s annual church camp. Pray that the messages by Ps Chung Kai will speak to our hearts, and that the many times of personal reflection will be meaningful. Pray that all campers will come with the right expectations – to take time and make space to engage with God.

Tuition Ministry – For the mid-year break that the ministry is currently taking, pray for us tutors to use this time to rest and recharge well in the Lord. May we draw near to Him, asking Him to teach us how to love our students like Jesus wants them to. Pray for our students to hunger for growth both intellectually and spiritually.

Our World

Lebanon – (The Straits Times, 4 Jun) Despite a ceasefire agreement in May, continued attacks, in South Lebanon as well as near the capital Beirut have occurred. Pray for the agreement on 3 June between Israel and Lebanon to have further direct negotiations to try “to build confidence and resolve other outstanding issues.” Our ministry partner and others continue to serve the internally displaced peoples with food and other help. May our brothers and sisters be strengthened by the Lord for this work.
