Our Church
Seniors360 – Thank God for seniors, both in our church family and the wider Bishan community. Through the different activities over the course of the week, many have been involved in befriending, blessing and sharing the love of Jesus. Thank God for the faithfulness of the ministry leaders and heads. Pray that for each senior, the Lord will put a burden for the lost in their hearts, renew their joy and strength as they continue extending the love and welcome of Christ. May the seniors see how each one of them can partner with God in drawing others to Himself.
Mandarin-Cantonese Baptisms – Thank God for the brother and three sisters who were baptised on Aug 23 at the MC worship service! May the Lord continue to watch over and strengthen them as they put on Christ and begin a new journey of walking with Him.
Our World
Nepal – Flash floods and landslides at the Nepal-Tibet border have reportedly killed more than 300 and left more than 1000 missing (27 Aug, CNA). Our Nepal ministry partner has reported that 22 believers were missing on the Nepali side of Rasuwa border. In addition, a school located near the border had 1,500 students gathered for assembly when the disaster occurred. Only 100 students have been accounted for while the remaining 1,400 students are being located. Our partner is trying to arrange for helicopter access to affected areas to assess the situation. May God have mercy on all affected, and protect those who are still in danger. Let us pray for strength and wisdom for those involved in the rescue and relief efforts.
