Our Church
Staff Retreat — Praise God that our Church Staff had a fruitful Staff Retreat on Tues 1st Sep. This began with spiritual reflections on abiding in Jesus and loving one another from John 15, followed by a day of much-needed team-bonding and fellowship together. Thank God for bringing together the 37 members of the Staff Team, and pray that the LORD will continue to grow our Staff Team from strength to strength for His glory.
Teachers’ Day — Praise and thank God for all in our church family who do the vital work of teaching God’s living Word to the next generation! Pray that the teachers will persevere in faithfully presenting and living out the Gospel, as they journey with the children & youth, alongside their parents. May their work lead to the progress and joy of our faith – to the praise of God’s glory!
Tuition Ministry & School Holidays – Thank God for all our tutors and their journey with the 20 over students for the past 3 terms. Pray for the students to have peace in their hearts, spiritual discernment, and clarity amidst heavy modern pressures. May the Lord also grant lasting friendships to be formed in this outreach ministry.
Our World
Nepal – Last Wednesday’s Flooding disaster at the Nepal-Tibet border area has so far resulted in at least 1000 dead and about 4000 missing (2 Sep, The Straits Times). Pray for access to reach affected areas in the current rescue and recovery operations, for the Prithvi Highway to be operational again and for temporary bridges made not to be washed away so that food, shelter and medicine can reach Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. May aid also be distributed fairly and given with dignity, to everyone in need. May the Lord strengthen the communities affected.
