Prayer Points 8 November 2020

Our Church

Budget – Our annual “Ministry Behind the Money” usually happens around this time. Even though we are not conducting it this year, ministries are going through their budgeting exercise for the next financial year. Pray for our ministry leaders to seek God’s vision for the church and their respective ministries as they plan for their activities in the next year. May God guide us and lead us.

Youth Camp – Thank God for the hardworking Youth Camp committee who are looking into the many details needed to run a camp in such a time. Thank God for the 40 youths who have already signed up. Pray for 10 more to join by this week.

Men’s Ministry Retreat (14 Nov) – Pray for their upcoming half-day retreat. Even though this retreat will be much shorter compared to last year’s, pray that the men in our church will be enriched by the time they will spend together and that they will be encouraged in their walk with God.

Our People

Cluster Leaders – Cluster AG leaders will be meeting with their elders and pastors to discuss plans for the next year. Pray for fruitful discussions in each Cluster. Pray for each AG leader to continue ministering to their AG members and to share these plans so that every Cluster will be able to look forward to growing physically and spiritually at our various Sunday services.

Serve in your Cluster – Pray for one another to consider how we can love and serve each other in our Cluster.

Our World

South India – Two ministry partners are facing financial difficulties because tithe and offerings collections have been greatly impacted due to the inability to hold in-person services. Many members have lost jobs. Pray that God will sustain the livelihoods of the pastors and their congregation members who face tough financial challenges. Pray also for the ministry leaders to have wisdom, and to discern through prayer, whether major church programs (like their annual convention) can take place.

Malaysia – Praise God that Eld Koo, who had a serious road accident in October, is recovering well and is able to walk without any assistance. Pray for him to be able to control his diet well because he has diabetes and that tends to spike on occasion to high levels.

US Elections – Pray for the United States as they see through the aftermath of a heated presidential election. Pray for peace within the nation and internationally. Pray that the outcome will not affect the global financial situation that is already shaken because of COVID-19.
