Prayer Points 11 May 2025
Our Church
ZBCS Parents’ Night Outreach – We give thanks to God for the ZBCS Parents’ Night Outreach held last evening, 10 May. Over 220 attendees joined us for this special occasion, including at least 60 non-believing guests who were invited by parents and friends. Praise God for the opportunity to share the love and hope of Christ through music, testimonies, and the message shared by Rev Peter Chng. Please continue to pray that the seeds of the Gospel planted will take root in the hearts of those who heard and for the follow-up conversations and connections.
Our People
Senior Pastor Alby – Thank God for bringing Ps Alby through surgery on his finger on Tues 6 May. Pray for mobility to be restored and against any infection while he recovers. Continue to pray for his sabbatical – for physical, emotional and spiritual refreshment in this season of rest.
KY – Pray for KY as she works with an NGO serving refugees in West Asia that she will be able to manage her time well between individual counselling work and training and supervising the local staff of 4 teams. On the ministry front, may the Lord use her to share Christ with those she has befriended and disciple those who are spiritually hungry for God.
SA & J – Thank God for a smooth year of transition to life in the Philippines for the couple since she left Singapore to settle in the Philippines with her husband J. Pray for SA and J to integrate well into their local church in the Philippines and be proficient in her language mastery. In terms of ministry, she is in the process of applying to be a member of a missions agency that has a presence in the Philippines and who will be an important support for them as they explore what kind of ministry work to do. Pray also for the financial provision for certain ministry needs which she is trusting God for. May she also have a good time of reconnecting with Zion Bishan friends and members during this year’s June Church Camp.
Our World
Bangladesh – Thank God for the opportunity for SQ to visit Dhaka to see the work of a partner working there. It was good to meet the 10 outreach teams working in different areas of the city. Some of them work in the slums, some in social media and other forms of media, while another works among the Telugu speakers in the city and others among the garment factory workers. Pray that God’s love will reach the estimated 25-30 million people living in the megacity of Dhaka through the work of such teams.
