Prayer Points 17 May 2026

Our Church

Basic AG Leaders Equipping – Praise God for the 10 brothers and sisters participating in this round of the BAGLE course! May our Father teach them to find their joy not in their ministry alone but in the privilege of having their names written in heaven (Luke 10:20). Pray that this season of equipping will help them draw on the help of the Spirit of God to care for the members in their AG, under the loving guidance of Christ our Good Shepherd.

Catechism Class – Praise God for the conclusion of the first catechism class run of the year! As we prepare to receive 30 over new members (adults and children) next Sunday at our Pentecost services, may our God help us as a church family lovingly welcome them, faithfully disciple them, and journey intentionally with them as the Day of Christ’s return draws ever nearer (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Children’s Discipleship Teachers’ Retreat – Thank God for upcoming CD Teachers’ Retreat on 23 May. We pray that this retreat will be a fruitful, meaningful, and refreshing time of fellowship, learning, and encouragement together. We thank God for the teachers’ faithfulness, love, patience, and commitment in serving and teaching week after week. As the teachers and children hear the words of Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount in the 2nd half of 2026, may the Lord grow their understanding of what it means to live as citizens of God’s Kingdom who humbly depend on King Jesus – He who helps us with our failures to live lives of obedience.

Our People

Esther Tan HW & Darrell – We thank God for our sister Esther who has been serving at East Asia School of Theology (EAST) in the areas of alumni and others as our Home Missions worker. She also leads a women’s fellowship group every Wednesday morning and teaches the Indonesia Domestic Helper Fellowship group once a month. Pray for her to walk close with the Lord daily. Pray for wisdom and strength as she ministers & seeks to impact people for Christ and for His glory. Pray also for Darrell, Esther’s husband, who is also our mission worker who is studying at EAST. He goes with a team from EAST to Vietnam next Wednesday to encourage and grow the communities of faith in this country.

SA and Jong – Thank God for a fruitful trip for Jong into the mountains north of their city with a group of tribal pastors recently. They travelled on motorbikes to gather data about unreached places and for ministry. Some data before suggests that there are more than 80 neighbourhoods without evangelical community presence. Pray for God’s clear direction for them as they discern the way forward and for SA’s continued language learning
