Prayer Points 4 May 2025

Our Church

MENA Gathering – On 1-3 May, about 180 participants gathered at our church for a MENA conference “Peacemakers in Ancient Lands” to hear what God is doing in this region. May hearts be stirred to continue to pray for workers to be sent out to this troubled region. Pray also that churches in Singapore will consider how they can come alongside their counterparts in this region to work together for God’s kingdom.

Additions & Alterations Building Project – Do uphold in prayer the 7 tenderers as they prepare their tender submission that the Lord would lead and guide them in their costing exercise for the project.  Pray also for the consultants to have wisdom and clarity as they address the various tender queries. A separate tender for Audio Visual works will go out this coming week, pray for the Lord to prepare a good contractor to undertake this important part of the project. Pray that this added space will be used to enable more people of come to know Christ and be equipped for His Kingdom work in the years to come.

Our Denomination

Bible-Presbyterian Church in Singapore (BPCIS) – We praise God for the good attendance at the Good Friday service and for the offerings received, $46,636 and $5,434.00 respectively, from English (attendance 1,600) and Chinese (500) combined services. Thank God also for the Sunrise service where 250 attended and for the offering of $7,024 received which has been channeled to the ministry of Kingdomgarten Preschool Services. BPCIS also recently sent through Operation Mobilisation (OM) a gift of $5,000 for the earthquake relief efforts in Myanmar. May the Lord use and multiply this gift to touch the lives of those suffering.

Our World

Myanmar – It has been one month since the deadly 7.7 earthquake struck the Sagaing Region of Myanmar, with an epicentre close to Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar, directly killing more than 5000 people and destroying many homes. While recovery is expected to be slow, let us continue to remember to pray for the suffering people as they seek to rebuild their homes. May God’s light shine through local believers who are less affected to rise up to help their fellow countrymen in this time of need.
