Prayer Points 8 January 2023

Our Church

Tuition Ministry  Thank God for the faithful service of our tutors in the past year and also for new tutors who have stepped up for 2023. Pray for the leaders and tutors as they gather on 13 Jan, to consider how to better identify the needs of their students and to commit themselves for their year ahead, that God will strengthen their hearts for a year of service ahead.

Our World

Buddhist World – As we are near the Lunar New Year’s celebrations at the end of January 2023, let us be praying for God’s light to shine upon Buddhist majority people groups around the world. Pray for our partners to persevere in loving and ministering among them. A good free prayer resource is available through email. (see announcement on page 9)

Myanmar – Pray for a small church in a neighbourhood in Yangon, to continue following up on the good relationships forged during the pandemic. This was partly helped by small gifts of rice bags to their neighbours when food was in short supply during the pandemic and their time of political conflict.

Nepal – Pray for 2 partners who have various ministries in remote Tibetan Buddhist villages, especially for the computer literacy ministry in one remote village.

Ipoh – Thank God that last week, Ps Ebi and Priya were able to visit the Fellowship of Tamil-speaking brethren that they have been ministering to. Pray for good follow up of the visitors from last year’s Christmas gathering and a good time of learning together in God’s word. May the word of God transform their hearts and lives to greater holiness and righteousness.
